Entertainer Vince Miller is dreaming the impossible dream – after recording a song that Sir Alex Ferguson wants to adopt as Manchester United’s official anthem.

“He asked me to record it because he felt that United doesn’t really have an anthem, like Liverpool has You’ll Never Walk Alone or Blue Moon at Manchester City. He said he thought it should be The Impossible Dream and would I be interested in recording it, and of course I said yes. We took it the ground and it ended up being played for the last 14 weeks of the season, and it was very fitting because United managed to get back to just four points behind Chelsea ahead of the last two games.

“We’re now waiting to sort the funding side of it all, but the United Megastore have already asked if they can pre-order copies. One thing’s for sure, if Alex says he wants something he will ultimately get his own way.”
