Comments about Big Blackie and the "MAKE GLAZER HISTORY"banner were made several times on Sky, Talksport and R5 Live andantiGlazer chants were clearly heard on all these stations. MUTVcarefully stage-managed their coverage as always but even theircommentary, delivered by the usually erudite Pat Crerand, was forced topause at several stages during the match because of the intensity ofthe antiGlazer chanting.
Last season fans were threatened with eviction from matches at Old Trafford for wearing t-shirts with antiGlazer slogans written on them. This season it seems that fears of revolution are now so great in the Boardroom at Old Trafford that any signs of dissent against the Glazer regime are to be quickly suppressed, even at pre-season friendlies that are televised only on Manchester United's own TV station.
Sir Bobby Charlton will no doubt be given the job of apologising to the Glazer family for these disrespectful outburts, just as he was following the incidents of 29th June 2005 when the Glazers were required to leave Old Trafford in the back of a police van.
All members of the LUHG campaign are delighted that United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came through this match with flying colours and are looking forward to seeing him turn out regularly for the first team once again.
