At 11pm on 23rd March 2011, Jonathan Russell, a reporter with the Telegraph newspaper, broke the story to the public about the lawsuit that has been filed with the Royal Courts of Justice in London, in which Manchester United Limited is suing a Manchester United supporter.
Due to the very nature and contents of this lawsuit, it would be unfair to the United fan involved, and perhaps prejudice to him and LUHG, to actively report on any details of this ongoing lawsuit at this moment in time.
Anybody viewing the various Manchester United fans forums, and other sources, will be aware of the ever-growing fury felt by very many Manchester United supporters on hearing the news that a fellow supporter is being treated in this manner.
Over the last few years, football supporters all over the land have had their loyalty to, and their love of their football clubs exploited to the max. We as Manchester United supporters have had to put up with more than our fair share since the unwanted arrival of this loathsome family of Americans who have absolutely no interest whatsoever in anything to do with the history or heritage of either Manchester United Football Club or it's supporters, beyond making as much money for themselves as they possibly can. This latest step simply shows them sinking to the lowest level yet.
LUHG and the many fellow Reds who support our cause, which includes the well-established supporter groups [including MUST and IMUSA] fully intend defending our fellow United supporter in this case.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer our most sincere gratitude to all supporters who, having been made aware of this case, have shown and offered their support.
